Jacob
I’ve taught A-Level Maths for just over six years, mainly working with students who are comfortable with the basics but get stuck when questions become less familiar. I spend a lot of time on algebra, calculus and mechanics, then bring in past-paper questions once the method is secure. I’m quite methodical when I teach and usually ask students to talk me through their working so I can spot exactly where things are going wrong.

Daniel
Hi! I’m an A-Level Maths tutor with four years of one-to-one teaching experience. Statistics is probably my favourite part of the course to teach, although I’m equally happy getting stuck into differentiation or tricky trig questions. My lessons are fairly relaxed and students are always welcome to stop me mid-explanation. Near exams, we usually work through papers together and look closely at where marks are actually being lost.

Olivia
I have been tutoring A-Level Maths for eight years alongside my work in engineering. That background means I particularly enjoy mechanics and showing students where the maths comes from rather than simply giving them formulas to memorise. I normally start by checking a student's working from recent questions, then plan lessons around the gaps I find. I also use timed exam questions regularly with students approaching their final papers.

Ashley
Maths came quite naturally to me at school, but tutoring taught me that the same explanation definitely doesn’t work for everyone. I’ve now spent three years teaching A-Level Maths online, mostly to sixth-form students aiming to improve their exam technique. I like using short examples before moving onto harder questions, especially for integration and logarithms. I’m also a bit of a stickler for showing clear working because it saves marks surprisingly often.

Lucas
I’m a former secondary mathematics teacher and have worked with A-Level students for more than ten years. My lessons are structured but conversational: we establish the mathematics first, practise it carefully and then move into examination questions. I particularly enjoy teaching calculus and coordinate geometry. I’m used to working with students preparing for competitive university courses where accuracy and efficient problem solving matter.

Sean
I started tutoring A-Level Maths while studying applied mathematics and carried on because I genuinely enjoyed the one-to-one side of teaching. Five years later, most of my students come to me for help with pure maths and mechanics. I’m not keen on rushing through ten questions when two well-chosen ones will expose the real problem. I’ll often ask a student to try a question aloud, then step in only when their reasoning starts to drift.
